• August 10^th the leadership class meets for the first official time to get the school year started off right.
• Fall elections will be held on August 27^th. If your sixth grader is interested in running for Sixth Grade Representative to Student Council, or if your seventh grader is interested in running for Seventh Grade Representative or Vice President, he or she must submit a “Petition of Candidacy” by Monday, August 24^th. Candidate speeches will on August 26^th during lunches. Any questions contact Mr. Miller at lmiller@rescue.k12.ca.us
• On Saturday, August 28^th we will have a carwash and bake sale at the Valaros near the Purple Place from 9:00 to 1:00pm. The proceeds will go toward sending leadership students to the State Leadership Conference in the spring.
• Our annual magazine sales drive will kick off on August 31^st 2010! The profit from this fundraiser will go toward a project the Student Council will choose and support student activities!
• The Welcome Back Dance will be on September 17^th from 6:00-8:00pm for all grades in the multipurpose room. More information will be available when school starts. Parents are always welcome to chaperone dances. If you would like to volunteer as a chaperone, please contact Mr. Miller at lmiller@rescue.k12.ca.us
